As this smartphone has many users and most of them want to root their devices as I always wanted to, I took the risk and came up with a proper procedure and though why not write an article on it because many people these days search on rooting procedure. Rooting is a difficult and risky task but after the Alcatel Idol 3 is rooted and you have gone through the procedure, you enjoy it because rooting lets you use more power of the device and tells you about how capable your device is.
In this article I am going to give out a guide on how to root your Alcatel Idol 3 with the help of KingRoot application tool.
IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOUR DEVICE, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT BECAUSE ROOTING IS ALWAYS RISKY.
1: Charge your device well before going through with the procedure because if the battery drains out and your device shuts down during the process, you won’t be able to use the device every again as it may get bricked because no files will be installed in your Alcatel Idol 3 android smart phone.
2: Disable all your security programs because they interrupt the procedure by keep notifying you about the process you are doing and keeps notifying you to stop as it is harmful for your Alcatel Idol 3 android smart phone, you will have to ignore it but if you disable them before then it will be easy for you.
3: Make a complete backup of your device because if anything happens to your device, at least your data will be safe because, you won’t be able to recover it afterwards.
4: Enable Developer Options, by tapping on the build number more than 5 times and you will be a developer.
5: Enable the USB debugging mode by following this path: Settings->Developer Options-> USB Debugging.
1: Download ‘’KingoRoot’’ from the following site, Download KingRoot
or any site that you like for instance.
2: Install it on your computer and install the Alcatel USB drivers. Once installed, follow the next step.
3: Connect your Alcatel Idol 3 android smart phone to the computer by using an original USB cable as an original cable won’t be faulty. Check if the cable is faulty because if it is change it suddenly. Faulty cables have the chance of disconnecting during the procedure which will cost you a lot if that happens during the process because it will simply brick your device.
4: Run the software and click on ‘’ROOT’’.
The process has been started now and you will have to wait because rooting takes a lot of time and once it is done, the device will restart and your Alcatel Idol 3 android smart phone will be rooted.
5: Download ‘’Root Checker’’ from the play store to check if your device has been rooted or not, if yes then well and good, but if not then redo the procedure from step 4 and click on start again as it will try to root your Alcatel Idol 3 android smart phone again. Make sure that your device has complete firmware files.
